Changelog

Latest data update : 43 stations with maker-store stock status maker spec, 12 worked scenarios and the first set of station, use-case and comparison pages.

  • Machine-readable copies: a static JSON API with an OpenAPI file, llms.txt and llms-full.txt, a Markdown copy of every page, and an embeddable planner widget.
  • Dataset 0.3.0: published warranty terms added for six more stations, quoted from maker stores.
  • Verdict boxes are now price-led: Best fit (the cheapest in-stock station with 20% spare runtime, preferring a published warranty of at least two years and a published surge rating), Budget and More headroom, with the fallback stated when no station meets every preference.
  • New pages: runtime hubs for fridges, CPAP, space heaters, microwaves, sump pumps, chest freezers, window AC and Starlink, an appliance wattage chart and a solar recharge tool.
  • Dataset 0.2.0: maker-store stock status (in stock, out of stock, or not shown) with the date checked; shortlists skip out-of-stock stations unless you include them.
  • Calculator: a visible caveat for loads under 100 W, where the default inverter efficiency and unpublished idle draw matter most.
  • Core pages: use-case hubs, twelve worked scenarios, fifteen station pages, four comparisons, two best-of pages and a winter storm guide, every number checked against the data.
  • Dataset 0.1.0: 43 portable power stations, 9 expansion batteries, 60 appliances, and 20 cited third-party test results, each value checked twice against its source.
  • Calculator: add your devices to see which stations run, start, and last as long as you need, with cheapest, best value, and best-with-solar picks.
  • Site scaffold: methodology, data, and policy pages.
